Ashley Malia Cole

is 18 years old and a full time college freshman at San Diego City College. She has been working with Director, Wendy Maples for four years and was a founding cast member of Step UP Theatre. Ashley Malia is the current Step UP Intern and is incredibly proud of the work the cast members this year are doing. She plans to continue doing what she loves- working with children in outreach theatre, for the rest of her life. Ashley Malia thanks her mother for all of her love, support, and transportation over the years. To this amazing cast, she wishes them "all my love! I'm so proud of you all! Step it out What? What!"

Jasmine Fahie

is 18 years old and a senior at San Diego High School of International Studies. She's an International Baccalaureate student in the top 20th percentile of her senior class. She enjoys reading, writing and speaking French and American Sign Language. She passes her time with friends and family laughing, singing, dancing and having the best time. This is Jasmine's fourth year with Wendy Maples and Step UP Theatre. She enjoys being able to create scripts, direct, and act on stage for elementary schools around San Diego, changing the world one smile at a time. Jasmine will be attending Hawaii Pacific University in the Fall of 2009 pursuing a degree in pre-medicine. If Jasmine could say anything to her audience, she'd say "When no one believes in you, the best course of action is to believe in yourself and get the job done."

Nia Lorraine Tikoo

is an 18 year old student at San Diego High School of International Studies where she is currently working to attain her International Baccalaureate diploma in addition to her high school diploma. She is a former student of the Language Academy and is fluent in French. Nia plans to attend CSU San Bernardino in the Fall of 2009, majoring in business. After that, she wishes to attend graduate school and culinary school! She has been active in Step UP Theatre for three years which has led her to other theatrical and artistic endeavors. She enjoys art, collecting sneakers, cooking and blogging for her hip-hop music based website. She considers herself to be diverse and open-minded partially due to her Indian, Black, and White ethnicity. She enjoys being an Associate of Step UP Theatre and hopes to be a positive role model for younger cast members.
